On receiving the news of the passing of Bishop Devadhar, Ivan Abrahams, General Secretary of the
World Methodist Council lamented, “We have lost a true champion of ecumenism and inter-religious
dialogue, a person very supportive of the work and witness of the Council. We will miss his voice, clarity
of thought, passion, and commitment to justice”.
We thank Prema, his loving wife, his daughter, Trina, son-in-law Gage, and their grandchildren for their
unwavering support to Suda in his ministry within the Methodist connection and the world.
During this time of grief please be assured of the prayers and support of the President and officers of
the World Methodist Council.
